The newly launched car can be seen as a new powertrain version of the Arrizo 8 PRO. The exterior design largely follows the “Art in Motion” design concept, with detailed optimizations to enhance the overall visual refinement. Specifically, the front face of the car no longer uses the octagonal grille layout but introduces a new hexagonal grille with a blackened honeycomb mesh structure. The fog lamps on both sides have also been removed, giving it a cleaner, sportier look. The front bumper features a three-section design with air ducts on both sides, further enhanced with more honeycomb-shaped ventilation holes, creating a strong visual impact and amplifying the sporty atmosphere.
On the side, the new car follows the design style of the 1.6T model, with a waistline extending from the front fender to the rear, paired with sleek body lines and a fastback-style roofline. The car is equipped with 18-inch wheels and red calipers, giving it a sporty feel. Additionally, two new exclusive colors, Emerald Green and Crystal Diamond Gray, have been added. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4800mm in length, 1843mm in width, and 1469mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2790mm. In comparison, the Arrizo 8 PRO 1.6T has dimensions of 4780mm in length, 1843mm in width, and 1469mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2790mm. The new model is 20mm longer, with other dimensions unchanged. The rear design is simplified, with a贯穿式 (through-type) taillight, which is highly recognizable when illuminated. The rear also features the “390T” badge, indicating the vehicle’s power information, and a recessed license plate frame, adding depth to the design. The car is equipped with a quad exhaust layout, further enhancing its sporty feel.
Inside, the new car offers two color options: Dawn Brown and Ocean Gray, with walnut wood grain accents. The car is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central control screen, a 10.25-inch floating instrument screen, and a three-spoke steering wheel. The in-car system features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and supports HiCar, CarPlay, and other functions, creating a tech-savvy ambiance. In terms of power, the new car is powered by Chery’s Kunpeng 2.0T turbocharged engine, producing a maximum power of 187 kW and a peak torque of 390 Nm, paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
The Arrizo 8 is one of Chery’s best-selling models. According to retail data, from January to May this year, the top three models in Chery’s sales were the Tiggo 8, Arrizo 8, and Tiggo 7, with cumulative sales of 73,407 units, 54,147 units, and 24,463 units, respectively. The addition of the new model is expected to further boost Chery’s sales.
Overall, as a model priced in the 100,000 to 150,000 RMB range, the new car performs well in terms of exterior design, features, and performance. Considering its positioning and pricing, the new car is set to compete with models like the GAC Trumpchi Shadow Leopard R, Geely Xingrui, and Lynk & Co 03.
