Starting at 52,964 USD! Ford Bronco 1966 Launched

On September 19, Ford’s mid-size SUV, the Ford Bronco 1966, was officially launched. The new model comes in two variants: the standard edition and the Big Foot edition, priced at 386,600 RMB and 436,600 RMB, respectively, which is consistent with the pre-sale prices. The Ford Bronco 1966 is named after the Ford Bronco 60th Anniversary Edition, primarily as a tribute to the first-generation model. As a special edition model, the vehicle mainly makes adjustments to the exterior and configuration, with a 2.3T EcoBoost turbocharged engine under the hood.

Exterior Design:

The new model features a redesigned front grille with a mesh-style design and a white grille paired with the red Ford Bronco brand logo, enhancing the vehicle’s visual recognition. Additionally, the new model adds handwritten-style lettering on the front fender area, replicating the style of the first-generation Bronco, which gives the vehicle a richer visual depth.

Side Profile:

The vehicle’s roof adopts a classic dual-color design, with extended black wheel arches and retro-style wheels. The Big Foot edition features specialized off-road tires, giving the vehicle a strong off-road vibe. The vehicle is available in three color options: Robin’s Egg Blue, Crystal Stone Green, and Dune White. In terms of dimensions, the standard edition has a length of 4800 mm, a width of 1990 mm, and a height of 1840 mm, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. The Big Foot edition increases the vehicle’s height to 1900 mm, while other dimensions remain the same. At the rear, the vehicle adopts the vertical taillights commonly seen on rugged off-road vehicles and features an externally mounted spare tire. The tailgate opens sideways, and the rear bumper has a very solid look.

Interior Design:

The interior layout of the new model remains consistent with the standard version, with some changes in color and seating adjustments. The new interior color scheme is white, with seats featuring quilting craftsmanship and Oxford white edging. Additionally, it is customized with red badges and a “Bronco” exclusive identity plaque. In terms of configuration, the new model is equipped with dual 12-inch LCD instrument clusters and a central control screen, powered by the high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The instrument panel displays specialized off-road information, while the central screen features the Ford SYNC+ intelligent connectivity system. As a special edition model, the car also includes a red logo on the co-driver’s central control trim and exclusive 60th Anniversary logos on the seats, enhancing the sense of exclusivity and marking the vehicle’s special edition identity.

Powertrain:

The vehicle is equipped with a 2.3T EcoBoost turbocharged engine, producing a maximum power of 202 kW and a peak torque of 429 Nm. The transmission system is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Ford Bronco 1966 is also considered the Chinese-market version of the overseas Ford Bronco Heritage Edition. Based on the vehicle’s positioning and pricing, it will compete with models such as the Jeep Wrangler, FAW Toyota Prado, and Tank 700 Hi4-T.
