On the evening of October 15, Great Wall Motor’s WEY brand officially launched its new MPV model—the WEY Gaoshan 7—at a price of 285,800 yuan, down from the pre-sale price of 289,800 yuan. After its launch, the new model will compete with the Denza D9 DM-i, Voyah Dreamer PHEV, and Buick GL8 PHEV.

The WEY Gaoshan is the brand’s first MPV, positioned as a mid-to-large luxury MPV, built on WEY’s dedicated new energy MPV platform. It was first introduced in October 2023. In May this year, the full Gaoshan lineup was unveiled, including the Gaoshan 7, Gaoshan 8, and Gaoshan 9—targeting family users, business/family versatility, and flagship luxury markets respectively. The Gaoshan 8 and 9 are priced at 309,800 yuan and 353,800 yuan, while the Gaoshan 7’s official launch had been pending due to configuration adjustments—until now.
Exterior Design
The Gaoshan 7 continues WEY’s “Flowing Mountain and Water” family design language, similar to the Gaoshan 8 and 9. The front fascia features a large waterfall-style grille with denser vertical slats, flanked by integrated chrome-framed headlights that emphasize visual width. The lower bumper has vertical chrome trim to enhance luxury, while the rear features a full-width taillight with vertical elements and chrome accents, offering strong visual recognition and depth. The car uses a dual-exhaust layout.
