On September 17, the Roewe M7 DMH was officially launched. The new car offers three models, with a limited-time price range of 85,800 to 102,800 yuan. The Roewe M7 DMH is a new product line from the Roewe brand, positioned as a plug-in hybrid mid-size sedan, and it is the production version of the Mingzhu concept car. The exterior and interior adopt a completely new design language.

Exterior:
The Roewe M7 DMH features a completely new design language, with a large-sized straight waterfall front grille and split front light cluster design. The front grille is equipped with the Roewe “ROEWE” lettering and a light-up function. The upper part of the split front light cluster functions as LED daytime running lights, which Roewe refers to as “Vector Light Crystal Daytime Running Lights.” Additionally, the front bumper has U-shaped chrome trim. The M7 DMH will offer seven body colors: Mousse White, Light Tea Gold, Tahiti Grey, Donglai Purple, Langyue Blue, Pearl Black, and Platinum Silver. It will also offer three dual-tone colors: Luxurious Black Gold, Elegant Blue Silver, and Noble Purple White.
Side View:
The side profile of the Roewe M7 DMH avoids complex line designs, instead using relatively smooth curves. The car does not feature the popular hidden door handles seen in many new energy vehicles but uses a more traditional design. The side mirrors are body-colored, and the side windows are equipped with chrome trim. The B-pillar, C-pillar, and rear side window outlines are blacked out. The car’s dimensions are 4940mm in length, 1890mm in width, and 1510mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820mm.
Rear Design:
The rear of the Roewe M7 DMH adopts a fastback and short tail design. It features 3D floating through-tail lights, echoing the front design. The LED light strips inside are arranged in a staggered pattern, creating a sense of depth when lit. The rear bumper is substantial and rounded, giving the car a full and smooth look. The “ROEWE” brand logo is located at the center of the trunk lid, with “SAIC Roewe DMH” and “M7” badges placed at the corners. The rear bumper also includes low-positioned brake lights to widen the car’s visibility and reduce the risk of rear-end collisions, complementing the front design.
Interior:
The Roewe M7 DMH adopts a relatively simple design language inside, featuring a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a gear shift mechanism. The steering wheel is heated, and the car comes equipped with a floating full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch central control screen. Below the central screen are quick-access function buttons for ease of use. There’s also wireless phone charging beneath the air conditioning vents, and the center console has a hollowed-out design, creating a triangular storage space. The car’s smart cockpit integrates AI voice models and is equipped with the SAIC OS in-car system, improving the voice assistant’s ability to understand context, generalization, and multi-intent parsing. It can better capture user needs and integrate voice commands to control the corresponding apps within the car’s ecosystem. The Roewe M7 DMH also supports Huawei, OPPO, vivo, Xiaomi, and Apple, making it compatible with nearly all mainstream smartphone brands.
Powertrain:
The Roewe M7 DMH is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter engine and an electric motor. The 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 82kW and peak torque of 135N·m. The electric motor has a maximum power of 137kW and peak torque of 330N·m. The CLTC pure electric range is expected to reach 160 km, with a total combined range of 2050 km. From a power data perspective, the Roewe M7 DMH has the same engine and motor specifications as the currently available Roewe D7 DMH.
Market Comparison:
Looking at the mid-size cars in the market with plug-in hybrid systems, competitors include the Geely Galaxy A7, BYD Qin L/Seal 06, and the HiPhi Alpha S5. In terms of size, the Roewe M7 DMH has an advantage in length, measuring 4940mm, although its wheelbase is comparable to these competitors, with the Qin L and Seal 06 both having a wheelbase of 2820mm, the Galaxy A7 at 2845mm, and the HiPhi Alpha S5 at 2900mm. In terms of sales, from January to August 2025, the Qin L has accumulated 184,800 units, while the Seal 06 has sold 141,700 units.
