Recently, official images of the new Alfa Romeo Tonale have been released. The new model features a series of refinements to both the exterior and interior, giving it a refreshed and more dynamic look. According to reports, it is expected to launch in North America and Europe by the end of the year.

Exterior
From the official images, the front-end design receives the most significant updates. The iconic grille now features horizontal slats, flanked by split-style air vents on both sides. The lower bumper has also been redesigned, making the overall appearance sportier and more expressive.
Additionally, three new paint colors—Rosso Brera (Red), Verde Monza (Green), and Giallo Ocra (Yellow)—have been added, along with an optional black roof for contrast.
Side Profile
The short front overhang remains, preserving Tonale’s athletic stance. The Sport Speciale variant debuts new three-spoke alloy wheels paired with black brake calipers, an exclusive feature for this trim. Depending on the configuration, the Tonale will offer 18-inch, 19-inch, or 20-inch wheels.
Interior
Inside, updates focus on premium materials and layout refinements. The Sport Speciale trim extensively uses Alcantara upholstery across the seats, door panels, and dashboard. Other changes include a new center console design and the addition of a rotary-style gear selector for a more modern look and feel.
Powertrain
Powertrain options vary by region:
In North America, the Tonale will be offered only with a gasoline engine, producing 200 kW (268 hp) and 400 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.
In Europe, buyers will have additional options, including:
A 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) and front-wheel drive,
A 1.6L diesel engine with a 6-speed DCT and front-wheel drive,
And a plug-in hybrid version combining efficiency with performance.
