On October 28, Denza officially launched its large SUV — the Denza N8L, which comes in two versions priced between 319,800 and 349,800 RMB. As a key member of Denza’s “flagship twin-star” lineup, the N8L shares its lineage with the Denza N9 while targeting a distinct segment. All models are equipped with Denza’s YiSanFang safety technology, a 2.0T hybrid system, “God’s Eye” B-level LiDAR-assisted driving system (DiPilot 300), and the YunNian-A intelligent body control system.

Exterior
The N8L adopts Denza’s latest family design language. Its daytime running lights and split headlights draw inspiration from the traditional Chinese character “門” (door) and feature a welcoming lighting animation. The front bumper includes a black trim strip as wide as the license plate holder and active air intake grilles. The N8L is available in six exterior colors — Elegant Red, Snow Jade Glow, Xuanjing Ink, Stone Shadow Blue, Frost Cloud Ink, and Emerald Ink. The last two are dual-tone options (extra ¥10,000).
Side Profile and Dimensions
The B/C/D pillars are finished in black, and the N8L features electric doors and a welcome light carpet. Wheel options include 20- or 21-inch alloys. Dimensions: 5200 mm (L) × 1999 mm (W) × 1820 mm (H), with a 3075 mm wheelbase — slightly smaller than the N9 in length, wheelbase, and height. At the rear, the slim taillights differ from the N9’s but retain the trapezoidal motif, with an illuminated Denza logo at the center for high recognition.
Interior
The cabin is offered in Cloud Brocade Beige, Jinshan Brown, and Platinum Gray, continuing Denza’s signature design. The symmetrical dashboard integrates a 50-inch AR-HUD, 13.2-inch instrument panel, 17.3-inch central screen, 13.2-inch co-pilot display, 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen, and digital rearview mirror — all supporting multi-screen interaction. The two-spoke steering wheel, column-mounted shifter, and dual 50W wireless phone chargers add to the luxury. The 11L built-in fridge shares a compressor with the A/C, offering -6°C to 50°C cooling/heating.
Second and Third Row Features
The second row features a 277 mm-wide aisle, with ventilation, heating, and 10-point massage, a 9-level adjustable armrest, and leg support on the right seat. A 17.3-inch ceiling screen and folding tables on the front seatbacks provide convenience. The third row offers heating, electric backrest adjustment, and 100 mm fore-aft movement.
Driver Assistance
All trims come standard with DiPilot 300 featuring an NVIDIA Orin chip (254 TOPS), a LiDAR unit, 12 cameras, 5 radar sensors, and 12 ultrasonic sensors — enabling highway and city pilot, valet parking, and more. The side mirrors include a small blue light indicating active driver assistance.
Powertrain
Built on the YiSanFang platform, the N8L combines a 2.0T engine (152 kW) with three electric motors (200 kW front, 2 × 240 kW rear). The system delivers 762 hp total, achieving 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. It’s powered by a 46.992 kWh LFP battery, offering 170 km of pure EV range and 6.95 L/100 km fuel consumption when depleted.
Competitors
The N8L faces strong rivals like the Lynk & Co 900 (plug-in hybrid, 1.5T or 2.0T variants, 280 km EV range, 7.29 L/100 km fuel consumption) priced at 309,900–416,900 RMB, and the AITO M8 (range extender and BEV versions, 359,800–440,900 RMB), which sold 21,244 units in September — far ahead of peers.
Market Outlook
Overall, the large SUV market has become fiercely competitive in 2025, with powerful new entries like the AITO M8, Lynk & Co 900, Ledo L90, Zeekr 9X, and Galaxy M9. In this environment, it won’t be easy for the Denza N8L to stand out. However, its competitive pricing and robust specifications show strong sincerity from Denza, making it one of the toughest yet most appealing choices for consumers.
