The Financial Times quoted two people familiar with the matter as reporting that Tesla will send a team to India this month to look for sites for a proposed $2 billion-3 billion electric vehicle factory.
People familiar with the matter told the Financial Times that Tesla plans to focus on states with existing automotive hubs, including Maharashtra in the west, Gujarat in the west, and Tamil Nadu in the south.
