The price of the new generation Paris D starts at 39,565.60 USD

On September 25, Hyundai Motor announced the official launch of the new generation of the Palisade. The new model is available in three versions: Luxury, Premium, and Calligraphy, with prices starting at 288,800 CNY, 316,800 CNY, and 361,800 CNY, respectively. For comparison, the price range of the 2023 model in China is 300,800–368,800 CNY.



As a replacement model, the new Palisade adopts a completely refreshed design style with a more square and robust overall profile. The interior offers both 6-seat and 7-seat layouts, and the powertrain has been fully updated, featuring a 2.5T hybrid power system. To briefly recap the exterior design, the new vehicle has a square and solid shape, with a large front grille complemented by a bar-style grille layout, giving the vehicle a strong and powerful visual effect. The large headlamp clusters and LED daytime running lights on both sides perfectly integrate with the grille. The inner part of the DRLs uses hidden vertical headlights, creating a unified visual effect. The front bumper is also adorned with chrome details, enhancing the vehicle’s elegance and sophistication.

On the side, the new model looks robust with numerous sharp line elements. The A, B, and C pillars are treated with hidden black accents, and a silver roof rack enhances the floating roof effect. Additionally, the new model is equipped with traditional external door handles and multi-spoke wheels. The Luxury version offers optional 18-inch and 20-inch wheels, while the Premium version comes with standard 20-inch wheels, and the Calligraphy version is equipped with 21-inch wheels. For color options, the Luxury and Premium versions offer five colors: Starry Blue, Cyber Gray, Flowing Silver, Crystal White, and Phantom Black, while the Calligraphy version adds an exclusive Emerald Green color. The new model’s dimensions are 5060/1980/1805mm, with a wheelbase of 2970mm, positioning it as a mid-to-large SUV. Compared to the previous model, the new vehicle offers more spacious interior space, with a 65mm increase in length and a 70mm increase in wheelbase.

At the rear, the new model features vertical tail lights and an outward-curving tailgate, echoing the front design. The product’s English logo appears beneath the tail badge, and the hybrid power logo is located on the right side of the tailgate. When illuminated, the vehicle has a high recognition factor. The new model also replaces the traditional rear wiper and exhaust system with hidden features and uses chrome accents, offering a refined, calm, and elegant appearance.

Inside, the new Palisade features a simplified layout, offering interior color options in black, deep blue/warm gray, carbon gray, and classic wood brown. Notable features include dual 12.3-inch full LCD instrument displays and a central multimedia display embedded within the dashboard. The vehicle is equipped with a two-tone three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel and a rotary electronic gearshift lever, with uniquely designed air conditioning vents, all of which contribute to its high-tech feel. For driving assistance, the new model offers features like HDA Highway Driving Assistance, NSACC Navigation Smart Cruise, and LFA2 Lane Following Assistance. The vehicle is available with both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. Both the front and rear seats feature electric adjustments, while the second row offers zero-gravity seats with privacy curtains.

In terms of power, the new model is equipped with a 2.5T hybrid system, delivering a combined maximum power of 334 horsepower and a peak torque of 460 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. For reference, the previous generation Palisade was equipped with a 3.5L V6 naturally aspirated engine, providing 272 horsepower and 336 Nm of peak torque, matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Compared to the previous model, the new vehicle is expected to significantly improve fuel economy.

Previously, the first-generation Hyundai Palisade was introduced to the Chinese market as an officially imported model. With this generational update, the new model will continue to be sold as an import and will compete with models such as the SAIC Volkswagen Teramont, Changan Ford Explorer, and Li Auto L8. Overall, the new generation of the Palisade has been refreshed in terms of exterior design, configuration, size, and performance. Whether it can capture a larger market share remains to be seen.
