On September 26, Denza officially opened pre-sales for its brand-new model, the Denza N8L. The new vehicle is positioned as a luxury SUV, offered in two versions with pre-sale prices ranging from 319,800 to 349,800 yuan.

Exterior
The N8L adopts the family’s “Elegant Momentum” design language, sharing a boxy profile similar to the Denza N9. The front features a signature “門” (gate-shaped) design element, flanked by slim C-shaped headlights. Together with a closed-off front grille and a trapezoidal intake with an active air grille, the vehicle achieves strong visual recognition and a sportier look.
For exterior color options, six choices are available: Elegant Red, Snow Jade Glow, Xuanjing Black, Shiying Blue, Frost Cloud Gray, and Cuihua Green. According to the company, all colors use premium BASF clearcoat with a water-based process that is safer, healthier, and more eco-friendly. This results in brighter colors, a 3–5% improvement in gloss, and a more luxurious high-gloss finish.
Body & Dimensions
The SUV features smooth body lines, hidden door handles, and blacked-out B/C/D pillars, enhancing its modern and high-tech appeal. Dimensions are 5200 × 1999 × 1820 mm, with a 3075 mm wheelbase.
Inside, it offers a 2+2+2 seat layout, with multi-way electric adjustment for the first and second rows. At the rear, a large roof spoiler enhances the SUV’s imposing presence.
Interior & Technology
The cabin continues a minimalist design philosophy, with a symmetrical center console and a triple-screen layout surrounding the dash. It also features a 17.3-inch roof-mounted entertainment screen. The steering wheel adopts a two-spoke simplified design.
Technological highlights include a 4nm chipset, multi-screen connectivity, support for 10 Chinese dialects, and features like in-car payments, photo/video recording, and WeChat video calls. Premium amenities include a 20-speaker Devialet sound system, a smart three-door refrigerator, an AR-projection tailgate, and integration with the DeepSeek AI model. Interior color schemes are available in Cloud Brocade Beige, Jinshan Brown, and Platinum Gray.
Intelligent Driving
The N8L is equipped with the “God’s Eye B-Lidar Edition” (DiPilot 300) advanced driver assistance system, enabling full-scenario intelligent driving. It supports highway and urban navigation, valet parking, and all-round safety warnings.
Powertrain
All versions use BYD’s Yi-Sanfang hybrid platform, combining a 2.0T engine with a tri-motor PHEV system.

Brand Background
Denza is BYD’s premium brand launched in 2022, targeting the 300,000–500,000 yuan luxury market as a key step in BYD’s high-end strategy. Currently, Denza’s lineup includes the D9, N7, N8, and Z9/Z9 GT.
In 2023, Denza sold 125,894 vehicles, with the D9 MPV contributing 102,810 units (81.66% of sales). In August 2024, Denza delivered 11,993 vehicles, bringing year-to-date sales (Jan–Aug) to 103,198 units. With the arrival of the N8L, Denza’s overall sales are expected to further increase.
