The Lynk & Co 08 EM-P was first introduced in September 2023, with an initial price range of 208,800 to 261,800 CNY. After discounts, the price ranged from 199,800 to 279,000 CNY. The vehicle is the first strategic model built on the CMA Evo architecture and also Lynk & Co’s first mid-size SUV. Its design both inside and out is distinct from other models in the Lynk & Co lineup. In terms of power, it features a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.5T four-cylinder engine and three driving motors. The newly launched model is considered a facelift, with the main updates including an optimized exterior design and the addition of lidar and other driver-assistance hardware, significantly enhancing its autonomous driving capabilities.

In terms of exterior, the new model continues with the “The Next Day” urban contrast aesthetics design philosophy and adjusts the front bumper. Specifically, the car features a split headlight design with a blacked-out, three-section air intake. Larger air vents have been added on both sides, connected to the front air intake by black trim, giving the car a sharper appearance.

On the side of the vehicle, it adopts a two-tone color scheme and multi-line design, with hidden door handles and a new wheel design. There is also a new blue auxiliary driving light beneath the side mirrors, enhancing the sporty feel. The vehicle measures 4825/1915/1685mm with a wheelbase of 2848mm. In comparison, the previous model had the same wheelbase, and the new model’s length has increased by 5mm, while other dimensions remain the same. As for the colors, the new model adds Sky Blue and Glorious Gold to the existing color options. At the rear, the car features a full-width taillight design with high recognition when illuminated. The central lower part of the taillight is embedded with the Lynk & Co brand’s English logo, further improving brand recognition. The rear also includes a spoiler, enhancing the vehicle’s visual layers. Additionally, the rear now has reflective strips with a new airflow groove design, and the body-colored rear bumper skid plate has been removed, making the vehicle look more sporty.

The interior adopts Lynk & Co’s latest design language, offering three color options with chrome accents. The overall design is minimalist yet technological. The car is equipped with a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a floating central control screen, powered by the Snapdragon 8295 chip, Flyme Auto 2 operating system, and Xingrui AI large model, giving the car a strong tech feel. For driver-assistance, the entire range now includes standard roof-mounted lidar, offering two autonomous driving solutions: the Qianli Haohan H5 (160km version) and the Qianli Haohan H7 (210km and 230km versions), significantly enhancing its intelligent driving capabilities.

In terms of power, the new model continues to feature a 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain. The 1.5T engine produces a maximum power of 120 kW. The two-wheel-drive version has a system total power of 280 kW, while the four-wheel-drive version has a system total power of 436 kW. The vehicle is available with two lithium iron phosphate battery options, 28.3 kWh and 38.2 kWh, providing electric ranges of 160 km, 210 km, and 230 km under the CLTC conditions. For comparison, the previous model offered three versions with electric ranges of 120 km, 220 km, and 245 km.

Overall, the new Lynk & Co 08 EM-P offers improved configurations compared to the previous model, especially in terms of driver-assistance features, with lidar now standard across all variants. Based on its positioning and price, it will compete with models like the recently launched Chery Windy T9, Leap C11, BYD Song L DM-i, and the Exeed Yaoguang C-DM.

In addition to the newly launched 08 EM-P model, the Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is scheduled for launch today. This vehicle also follows the “The Next Day” design philosophy and features a 1.5T engine and electric motor hybrid powertrain with a maximum output of 163 horsepower.

As of now, Lynk & Co’s lineup includes models such as the Lynk & Co 01, 02, 03/03+, 05, 06, 08, 10 EM-P, 900, as well as electric models like the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV, 02 PHEV, 05 PHEV, 06 PHEV, 09 MHEV/PHEV, 07 EM-P, Z10, and Z20. The Lynk & Co 10 EM-P, based on the CMA Evo architecture, is a mid-to-large size vehicle equipped with the Qianli Haohan H7 driver-assistance solution and Nvidia Thor chip. It offers a maximum pure electric range of 240 km under the CLTC cycle.
