On the latest issue of the new vehicle declaration catalog published on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Auto Industry Focus found that the declaration images of the all-new Geely Emgrand under the Geely brand have been listed in the catalog. As an all-new model, it adopts the brand’s latest family-style design for the exterior, with significantly increased overall dimensions, presenting a more stylish and grand look. In terms of power, it also gets an upgrade, offering a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5T engine.
Specifically, the front face of the new car features a larger hexagonal shield-shaped design, adorned with vertical chrome trim strips inside, and the brand logo is inlaid in the center. On both sides, there are slim three-segment daytime running lights, which have extremely high recognition when lit and deliver an exquisite visual effect. For the front bumper, the new car is equipped with air inlets and T-shaped chrome decorations on both sides, further enhancing the visual layering.
On the side of the vehicle, the smooth lines give it a grand and calm appearance. According to the declaration information, the new car comes with 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch rims, and is available with a single sunroof. The rear end also sees obvious changes: the taillights are connected by a decorative strip, featuring a more flattened overall shape. When lit, they have very high recognition and also increase the horizontal visual width of the vehicle. Additionally, the bottom of the rear bumper is fitted with a through-type chrome exhaust decoration, and a ducktail spoiler is added to create a good sporty vibe. In terms of exhaust, it adopts a new dual-exit exhaust layout (one on each side), further strengthening its sporty attributes.
In terms of dimensions, the new car has a length, width, and height of 4815/1885/1480mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2755mm. For reference, the currently sold Geely Emgrand has dimensions of 4638/1820/1460mm and a wheelbase of 2650mm. In comparison, the wheelbase of the new car has increased by 105mm, greatly enhancing the sense of space, and the rear row space is expected to be more spacious. For power, the new car offers a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a 1.5T engine: the former has a maximum power of 88kW, while the latter reaches 133kW, both higher than the power of the previous 1.5L naturally aspirated engine.
It is understood that the Geely Emgrand is a star model under Geely Auto and one of the classic models with a long history among independent brands. It was first launched in August 2009 and has undergone multiple iterations and upgrades so far. The currently sold model is the 4th-generation 2026 Geely Emgrand, priced from 62,900 yuan to 149,800 yuan. Retail data shows that from January to July this year, the sales volume of Geely Emgrand reached 75,227 units, ranking 4th among Geely Auto’s products. Its sales were 140,037 units in 2023 and 115,799 units in 2024, ranking 2nd and 4th respectively among Geely Auto’s product lineup.
Since its launch, the Geely Emgrand has been known as a well-deserved “national sedan” in China. As a national-level sedan, the current model starts at 62,900 yuan, offering relatively high cost performance. For consumers with a limited budget, it is an excellent choice for family use. Judging from the configurations and performance of the new declared model, it has undergone comprehensive optimization and upgrades with significantly improved configurations.
