On October 18, Avita Technology’s mid-to-large-sized sedan, the Avita 12 Laser Edition, officially opened for pre-order. A total of six variants of the new model are available, but the specific pre-sale prices have not been disclosed. The official announcement states that from now until the launch event, customers can enjoy a limited-time pre-sale benefit of a 2,000 yuan deposit, which can be deducted from the 5,000 yuan purchase price. For comparison, the currently available Avita 12 offers eight variants, with the standard models priced between 269,900 to 429,900 yuan, while the global limited edition is priced at 700,000 yuan.

The new car in this pre-sale still follows the “Future Elegance” design philosophy, with a key highlight being the upgrade from three laser radars to four laser radars. The entire range comes equipped with Huawei’s ADS 4 driver assistance system, which includes four laser radars, promising a significant improvement in assisted driving capabilities. In terms of power, the vehicle offers an extended-range powertrain featuring a 52 kWh battery from CATL, along with a pure electric version.
In terms of appearance, the new car largely retains the design style of the current model, maintaining a strong sense of futuristic technology. The front face is outlined by a continuous LED light source and a closed grille, with the centrally embedded brand logo. The headlights feature a split design, making the car highly recognizable. As the four-laser radar version, the front bumper is equipped with a front-mounted laser radar, and side laser radars are installed on the front fenders.
From the side, the car features sleek lines with a coupe-style design and large wheels, giving it a dynamic and agile appearance. Additionally, a new “Xi Jin Grey” exterior color option is available for consumers to choose from. The current Avita 12 measures 5020/1999/1460 (or 1450) mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3020 mm. At the rear, the car does not use a through-type design but features a centrally embedded logo, an active lift spoiler, and continues to use the “no rear window” and frameless door layouts.
Inside, the new car adopts the existing model’s design style with a new “Rock Brown” interior color option and HarmonySpace 5. The car is equipped with a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic screen and a 15.6-inch central control screen, both arranged in a staggered layout, and running on the HarmonyOS operating system. Changes include a reduction in the number of physical buttons, keeping only the essential ones, for a cleaner appearance. In terms of driving assistance, the new car is equipped with Huawei’s QianKun ADS 4 driver assistance system, based on the new WEWA architecture, as well as HarmonyOS 5 cockpit, and features like VPD 2.0 parking valet.
In terms of power, the pure electric model continues to offer single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive options. The single-motor version has a maximum power of 237 kW and peak torque of 396 Nm, while the dual-motor version has a combined maximum output of 402 kW and peak torque of 687 Nm. Depending on the configuration, the pure electric range is either 705 km or 755 km, based on the CLTC standard. The extended-range version features a 1.5T Kunlun smart range extender system, with a maximum power of 115 kW from the 1.5T range extender and 231 kW from the rear-drive motor, with a peak torque of 367 Nm. The vehicle is equipped with a 52.01 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which is larger than the 39.05 kWh battery in the currently available extended-range version. This increase boosts the CLTC pure electric range from 245 km to 356 km.
