All-new model! ARCFOX S3 filing images revealed

In the latest batch of new vehicle filings published on the website of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Auto Industry Watch found that BAIC BJEV’s all-new model — the ARCFOX S3 — has appeared in the catalog.

From the filing images, the new car adopts a brand-new design language. Its overall styling is relatively minimalist, but with sharper lines compared to previous models. The front features a large closed-off grille design, paired with slim, through-type headlights with a smoked finish, creating a distinctive “U” shape that emphasizes a futuristic appearance. The front bumper incorporates a central air intake and black decorative elements on both sides, giving the front end a strong visual layering.

On the side, the car’s profile is clean and sleek, with a low-slung fastback silhouette that highlights a sporty body contour. It features a traditional full-frame window structure, semi-hidden door handles, and uniquely styled multi-spoke wheels, enhancing its premium feel. A raised crease line along the lower door section further strengthens the vehicle’s sporty character. According to the filing, the new car will offer two tire options: 215/55R17 and 215/50R18. The front track measures 1,645 mm, the rear track 1,650 mm, and the vehicle uses a unibody structure. At the rear, the car sports a full-width taillight design, with the central section rendered in black and non-illuminated, decorated with a black trim strip. The tailgate carries both the “ARCFOX” and “S3” badges for recognition. A subtle ducktail spoiler on the trunk lid and a trapezoidal black insert on the rear bumper add to the visual layers and sporty appeal.

In terms of dimensions, the new ARCFOX S3 measures 4,840 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,875 mm. It is expected to be positioned as a mid-size all-electric sedan. Power will come from a TZ180XS480 electric motor produced by Hainachuan Haofuer (Beijing) New Energy Vehicle Drive System Co., Ltd., with a rated output of 45 kW and a peak output of 150 kW. It will be paired with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, though the capacity has not yet been disclosed. The new model’s future market performance remains to be seen, and Auto Industry Watch will continue to follow developments.

ARCFOX, a brand under BAIC BluePark, currently offers models such as the Alpha S6, Alpha S5, Alpha T6, Alpha T5, Kaola S, and Kaola. Its sedan lineup includes the Alpha S5 (mid-size EV), Alpha S (mid-to-large EV), and Alpha S6 (mid-to-large EV).

Retail data shows that from January to May 2025, ARCFOX delivered a total of 45,131 vehicles. Among them, the Alpha S5 was the best-selling model, with 16,828 units sold. The Alpha T5 and Kaola also exceeded 10,000 units in sales, with 15,028 and 11,908 units sold respectively.
