On June 14, SAIC Volkswagen officially launched the ID.3 GTX Kit Concept Edition. The new model comes in two variants, offered at limited-time fixed prices of RMB 137,388 and RMB 144,888. Compared with the standard version, the ID.3 GTX Kit Edition mainly features upgrades in exterior styling and configurations. It introduces a GTX package and an exclusive red body color, positioning it as a performance-oriented version of the ID.3.

Exterior Design:
The overall design remains largely consistent with the current ID.3, with differences seen in details. For instance, the car adopts an exclusive GT Red body color, paired with a GTX high-gloss black sporty body kit and 20-inch Hurricane wheels, giving it a more dynamic, fashionable look with a strong GT-inspired vibe. The front fascia features a diamond-mesh grille integrated with matrix LED headlights, significantly improving recognition when illuminated. A honeycomb-style front bumper with black decorative trims further enhances the sporty visual effect. The new model offers five exterior color options: Ion Gray, Starry White, Warm Cloud White, Glacier Blue, and GT Red.
Side and Rear Profile:
From the side, the car adopts a sporty two-box hatchback design. Its length has slightly increased compared to the standard version, from 4,261 mm to 4,266 mm. The new dimensions measure 4,266/1,778/1,568 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm. To highlight its sporty character, the rear is equipped with a large roof spoiler and slim taillight clusters, giving the vehicle a more layered and dynamic look. “SAIC Volkswagen” and “ID.3” badging further enhance brand recognition.
Interior & Features:
The cabin adopts a minimalist design dominated by dark tones, with extensive suede coverings and red stitching to elevate the premium feel. Standard equipment includes a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch floating central touchscreen, paired with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and integrated sport seats. Key features include ventilated/heated front seats, new full LED matrix headlights, and a digital key. The higher-spec “Extreme Intelligence” variant also adds an AR-HUD (augmented reality head-up display), projecting navigation and other key information directly onto the windshield, enhancing the sense of advanced technology.
Powertrain:
The ID.3 GTX Kit Edition continues to use a rear-mounted electric motor delivering a maximum output of 125 kW (170 hp), paired with a 53.6 kWh battery pack. It offers a CLTC-rated range of 451 km on a full charge.
