The only information technology center of BMW Group in China officially opened in Nanjing

On October 24, BMW Group officially announced that BMW (Nanjing) Information Technology Co., Ltd. has been officially launched in Nanjing.

This wholly-owned subsidiary of BMW Brilliance Automotive has evolved from the Nanjing branch of Lingyue Digital Information Technology Co., Ltd. It is one of BMW Group’s six global information technology centers and the first and only IT center established by BMW Group in China. It is also the largest IT innovation base of BMW Group in Asia.

BMW Group stated that Lingyue Nanjing, established in 2021, has been providing IT technical solutions for BMW’s operations in China, offering full-value chain digital solutions for BMW Group in China and some global markets. It is one of the three major innovative software companies of BMW Group in China.

BMW (Nanjing) Information Technology Co., Ltd. will operate with a more agile and independent structure to improve efficiency, focusing on AI and industrial digital twins, among other areas.

To support the domestication of the next-generation models, BMW is systematically accelerating the construction of a smart ecosystem for the future in China. This includes collaborating with Momenta to jointly develop intelligent driving assistance systems adapted to Chinese road conditions; working with Alibaba to create a customized AI engine based on Tongyi’s large model; and introducing DeepSeek’s large model to empower the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant.
