On October 23, BYD simultaneously launched three new models: the 2026 Qin L DM-i, the 2026 Song L DM-i, and the 2026 Song Pro DM-i. The 2026 Qin L DM-i is priced between 96,800 and 106,800 yuan, the 2026 Song L DM-i between 139,800 and 156,800 yuan, and the 2026 Song Pro DM-i between 102,800 and 125,800 yuan.

As facelifted models, the three vehicles feature minimal changes in exterior and interior design, focusing mainly on detailed refinements. The 2026 Song Pro DM-i remains largely unchanged, with the front bumper now featuring an active grille system. The overall front design is similar to the 2025 version, and a new “Ice Soul Gray” exterior color has been added. The most noticeable update on the 2026 Song L DM-i is the shift from traditional door handles to semi-hidden ones. It continues to use a large front grille with a dot-matrix pattern, while the front and rear fenders feature muscular lines paired with black wheel arches, giving the SUV a stronger visual presence. The 2026 Qin L DM-i retains BYD’s “New National Trend Dragon Face Aesthetics” design, with a refined front end and large lower grille for a grander look, and adds a new “Weiyang Gray” exterior color.
In the interior, the 2026 Song Pro DM-i’s biggest change is the new electronic column-mounted gear selector. The center console now includes lower-position air vents, a wireless charging pad, and a single-row physical button layout. It also introduces a new Weiyang Gray interior color. The 2026 Song L DM-i similarly adopts an electronic column shifter and a redesigned dashboard with clearer functional zoning, lower air vents, a wireless charging pad, horizontally arranged cup holders, and a single-row control button area. The 2026 Qin L DM-i also uses a column-mounted gear selector for easier operation, with a simplified center console where the traditional shifter was located, offering more storage space. It continues to feature a 15.6-inch central touchscreen.
In terms of powertrain, all three models retain the existing hybrid system—a 1.5L engine paired with a single electric motor—but their electric range has improved. The 2026 Song L DM-i drops the base 75 km version; the previous 112 km model is upgraded to 130 km, and the 160 km version to 200 km. Corresponding battery capacities are 12.9 kWh, 18.3 kWh, and 26.6 kWh. The 2026 Song Pro DM-i offers 12.9 kWh and 18.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries with 75 km and 115 km CLTC electric range, plus a new 133 km version. The 2026 Qin L DM-i comes with a 20.79 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a 130 km electric range.
The Qin L DM-i is positioned as a plug-in hybrid mid-size sedan, competing with models such as the BYD Seal 06 DM-i and Geely Galaxy A7, with September sales of 17,734 units. The Song L DM-i is a mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV, rivaling the Changan Qiyuan Q07 and Chery Fengyun T9, with September sales of 10,161 units. The Song Pro DM-i is a compact plug-in hybrid SUV competing with the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i and Chery Fengyun T8, selling 13,542 units in September. From these figures, all three models maintain stable monthly sales above 10,000 units, and with the new updates, their overall competitiveness is expected to further boost sales.
