It is understood that the Haifu Jian 07 is a model under BYD Ocean Network. It was launched in December 2022, and a total of 6 models were launched, with a price range of 202,800-289,800 yuan. In the auto market, it mainly competes with models such as Chang’an UNI-K iDD and Macchiato DHT-PHEV. Retail data shows that in 2023, the cumulative sales of the Haifu Jian 07 reached 66,262 vehicles.

Since February 19, BYD has successively launched a number of “Honor Edition” models, covering A0 to C-class sedans and a variety of SUV models. The launched Honor Edition of the Haifu Jian 07 is another Honor Edition model after the Seagull, Dolphin, Seal, and Destroyer 05, Song PLUS, and e2. With the arrival of more “Honor Edition” models with lower prices, BYD will lower the price to within 100,000 yuan and further compress the price space of the A0-class market by adopting a strategy of lowering prices and increasing configurations.

The latest data shows that in February 2024, BYD’s new energy vehicle sales were 122,300, a year-on-year decrease of 36.8%; as of the end of February, BYD’s new energy vehicle sales in the first two months of this year were 332,800, a year-on-year decrease of 6.1%. Whether the arrival of more “Honor Edition” models can help BYD’s sales, let’s look forward to it.
