Recently, iCAR officially unveiled its all-new model—the iCAR V27—making its global debut in Dubai, UAE. The V27 is positioned as a mid-to-large, hardcore-style SUV, with dimensions close to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. It will feature a range-extended powertrain and is expected to be priced between 200,000–250,000 RMB, launching in Q4 this year as the flagship model of the iCAR brand.

Exterior Design
The V27 adopts a boxy “square-bodied” shape. The front is upright, with a rounded rectangular grille composed of bold horizontal bars in a blacked-out finish. On either side are circular LED headlights that enhance both recognition and its rugged off-road look. The lower bumper design suggests a generous approach angle for off-road capability.
Side and Rear Styling
The SUV features a flat roofline, strong character lines, and pronounced wheel arches. Details include split dual sunroofs, traditional pull-type door handles, sporty five-spoke wheels, and fixed side steps, giving it a robust presence. Black decorative panels on the front fenders may integrate side/rear-facing cameras. At the back, the V27 sports vertical taillights, an externally mounted spare tire, a roof spoiler, and a side-hinged tailgate for added practicality and visual identity.
Powertrain and Performance
Measuring over 5 meters in length, the V27 will use a 1.5T engine paired with electric motors in a range-extender setup, offered in both RWD and AWD versions. The AWD variant is expected to deliver up to 335 kW of peak power with a CLTC pure-electric range of 200 km.
iCAR Brand Background
iCAR, launched by Chery New Energy in 2023, targets a young, trendy market segment. Current offerings include the iCAR 03/03T and iCAR V23, priced between 109,800–169,800 RMB and 109,800–149,800 RMB respectively. Sales data for H1 2025 shows 10,584 units of iCAR 03 and 29,001 units of iCAR V23 sold.
Market Positioning
As iCAR’s flagship, the V27 will compete with other hardcore SUVs like the Fangchengbao Bao 5 (from 239,800 RMB), Deepal G318 (from 185,900 RMB), and the Beijing BJ40 Extended-Range (from 179,800 RMB). In H1 2025, Bao 5 sold 27,119 units, while the BJ40 Extended-Range sold 7,070 units.
Global Expansion
For overseas markets, iCAR will be branded as iCAUR. The company plans to open 2,000 dealerships across 100 countries, including the Middle East, Europe, and Malaysia. The V27 will be tailored for high-end Middle Eastern customers, with localized adjustments such as suspension tuning for the Russian market.
