The statement reads: At approximately 3:18 AM on October 13, a traffic accident occurred on the southern section of Tianfu Avenue in our city. Upon receiving the report, public security, fire, and medical rescue departments quickly arrived at the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that the individual, Deng (male, 31 years old), was driving a small sedan with the license plate number Chuan AC9, traveling southbound on Tianfu Avenue. Upon entering the southern section of Tianfu Avenue after passing the Tianfu Fifth Street intersection, his vehicle collided with another small sedan, driven by Li (license plate Chuan AA3), which was traveling in the same direction. The vehicle then crossed the central green belt of the road and caught fire. The accident resulted in the death of driver Deng, and both involved vehicles were damaged to varying degrees. Tests showed that Deng was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. The investigation is ongoing.
