560 km Range and Impressive Power! Bentley’s First All-Electric SUV Spotted in Road Testing

Recently, media outlets published a set of spy photos taken at the Nürburgring Circuit, revealing Bentley’s first all-electric “urban” SUV. According to reports, the new model will be positioned below the Bentayga, aiming to lower Bentley’s entry price point from around $200,000 to approximately $150,000.

Exterior Design
At first glance, the SUV features Bentley’s signature quad-headlight design, but the visible “lights” are actually camouflage decals. Beneath them lie what appear to be prototype four-point LED units borrowed from Porsche. Similarly, the oval taillights that resemble Bentley’s current family styling are also believed to be part of the disguise, with real light clusters in testing form visible at both sides of the rear.

Platform and Naming
The new SUV is built on the Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture — the same high-end EV platform that will also underpin the upcoming Porsche Cayenne EV.

According to earlier trademark filings, the vehicle may be named “Mayon” (after a volcano in the Philippines) or “Barnato” (honoring a legendary Bentley racing driver), continuing Bentley’s tradition of naming models after landmarks or historical figures.

Performance and Range
While official specifications have not been released, it is widely expected that the SUV will feature a 108 kWh battery pack, similar to the one used in the Cayenne EV. Given Bentley’s typically heavier build, its WLTP driving range will likely be slightly lower than the Cayenne EV’s estimated 350 miles (about 560 km).

Technology and Power Output
The model is also expected to support advanced wireless charging technology. However, to avoid internal competition with higher-tier Bentley models, its maximum power output will reportedly be kept below 1,000 horsepower.
