Tesla Sales! 497,000 Vehicles Delivered Globally in Q3

Recently, Tesla released its global production and delivery report for the third quarter of this year. According to the data, Tesla produced approximately 447,000 all-electric vehicles worldwide in Q3 and delivered 497,000 units. During the same period, Tesla’s energy storage installations reached 12.5 GWh, with the continued ramp-up of capacity at the Shanghai Energy Storage Gigafactory driving further business growth.

In September, the Shanghai Gigafactory delivered over 90,000 vehicles, with sales in the Chinese market exceeding 71,000 units, representing a 25% month-over-month increase.

According to data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), Tesla sold a total of 90,812 vehicles in September 2025 in China (including domestic sales and exports from China to overseas markets).

This sales figure represents a 2.82% increase year-over-year (compared with 88,321 units in September 2024) and a 9.16% rise month-over-month (compared with 83,192 units in August 2025), marking Tesla China’s return to growth after two consecutive months of year-over-year decline.

Part of the sales rebound was driven by the six-seat SUV Model Y L, which officially debuted in the Chinese market on August 19 and began deliveries in early September.

In the third quarter of 2025, Tesla China’s total sales (including exports) reached 241,890 units, accounting for 48.66% of Tesla’s global deliveries (497,099 units). In comparison, the share was 51.31% in Q1 and 49.91% in Q2.

Although Tesla China’s Q3 sales increased 26.17% compared to Q2, they were still down 2.91% year-over-year, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of year-over-year decline.
