It is understood that the new model is built on the SEA-S (Sustainable Experience Architecture – Series) dedicated to hybrid electric vehicles. Positioned as a new global ultra-luxury SUV flagship, it will be the first to be equipped with ZEEKR’s Super Hybrid Technology. All versions achieve a 0-100km/h acceleration time in the 3-second range, making it ZEEKR’s first hybrid model. According to the plan, the new model will be officially launched by the end of September. Official data shows that the pre-sale orders for ZEEKR 9X reached 42,667 units within one hour of the pre-sale opening.
In terms of exterior, the new model features a large-area waterfall-style chrome grille on the front face, paired with split-type headlight clusters on both sides. The headlights adopt 42,242 diamond-cut surfaces, reflecting the flowing rhythm of stars in the Milky Way, creating a visually grand and majestic look with a full sense of luxury. The lower bumper is equipped with an active air shutter, adding more luxury ambiance to the vehicle.
On the side profile, the new model is equipped with conventional door handles, and the A-pillars are blackened to create a floating roof effect. Matched with 22-inch forged wheels, it gives the vehicle a strong presence. In addition, the roof of the new model is equipped with a lidar, and side-view cameras are installed below the fenders and exterior rearview mirrors. For body colors, the new model offers six options for consumers: Polar Day White, Polar Night Black, Glacier Silver, Dark Night Purple, Star Dome Gray, and Wilderness Green. In terms of dimensions, the new model has a length, width, and height of 5239/2029/1819mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3169mm, positioning it as a full-size SUV. At the rear, the new model adopts a design that is narrow at the top and wide at the bottom. The taillights feature a through-type design, and the “ZEEKR” and “9X” logos are displayed on both sides of the tailgate, enhancing the vehicle’s recognition. Additionally, the new model is equipped with a rear spoiler and a hidden exhaust layout, creating a strong sporty atmosphere.
In terms of interior, the layout of the new model is not particularly stunning, but it excels in exquisite materials. The interior adopts a black-and-white contrasting color design, and the secondary instrument panel uses a large area of wood grain trim, creating a sense of refinement and fashion. In terms of configuration, the new model is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel, a multi-function steering wheel, and a large-size floating central control screen. A row of mechanical buttons is retained below the central control screen for more convenient user operations. Regarding the seating layout, as a full-size flagship SUV, the new model adopts a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, with the second row equipped with a large-size overhead screen and independent seats.
In terms of powertrain, the new model will be equipped with ZEEKR’s Super Hybrid Technology and a full-stack 900V high-voltage architecture, offering both pure electric and hybrid powertrain options. Among them, the 2.0T super hybrid engine has a maximum power of 205kW, and the pure electric cruising range under CLTC conditions is 380km; the front and rear motors of the pure electric version have powers of 290kW and 370kW respectively.
Based on the new model’s positioning and pre-sale prices, as a full-size SUV priced in the RMB 500,000 range, it will compete with models such as AITO M9 and Li Auto L9 after its launch. In addition, according to the official statement earlier, ZEEKR 9X will also launch a “Guanghui” (Brilliance) version simultaneously, which will be the first to be equipped with the “Qianli Haohan H9” (Thousand-Mile Vast H9) combined advanced driving assistance system, forming the “Guanghui Family” together with the ZEEKR 009 Guanghui version.
