On September 23, according to Caixin News, Avita Technology plans to submit its IPO application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the fourth quarter of this year, with the goal of completing the listing in the second quarter of next year. Sources revealed that Avita Technology is currently in the final preparation stages for its Hong Kong IPO process, and the submission could happen as early as October.

As of the time of publication, Avita Technology has not yet responded to this news. It should be noted that this is not the first time Avita Technology has been reported as considering a listing. In March of this year, sources revealed that Avita was considering an IPO in Hong Kong, aiming to submit its application to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the second half of this year and raise around $1 billion. At that time, an internal source from Avita responded that the company had plans to list independently since its establishment, but no specific execution plan had been finalized. Even earlier, Avita’s former CEO, Tan Benhong, had stated that the company’s IPO would likely be planned for around 2025, and that there was no urgency at the moment, as the company needed to balance its development.
Avita Technology Co., Ltd., formerly known as Changan NIO New Energy Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd., was established in July 2018 and was renamed Avita Technology in May 2021. It is a brand under Changan Automobile, co-founded by Changan Automobile, CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited), and Huawei. In August 2021, Changan officially launched the Avita brand, positioning it as a high-end automotive brand. Changan is responsible for vehicle design and production, CATL provides battery supply, and Huawei, through the HI (Huawei Inside) model, offers full-stack solutions including intelligent cockpits and intelligent driving. On September 19, Avita Technology announced that Wang Hui would replace Zhu Huarong as the chairman of the company, overseeing the company’s strategic planning, decision-making, operations, and global business.
As of now, Avita has launched four models: Avita 11, Avita 12, Avita 07, and Avita 06. The single-motor version produces 252 kW of power and 365 Nm of peak torque, while the dual-motor version provides a total of 440 kW and 645 Nm of peak torque, with a 82.16 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a range of 650 km and 610 km (CLTC cycle).

As planned, Avita aims to launch 17 new models by 2030, covering segments like MPVs and sports cars. In July, multiple media outlets reported that Avita and Huawei are successfully advancing their Hi Plus model, with nearly 1,000 joint team members now stationed at Avita’s headquarters in Chongqing. The first co-created product is expected to be launched in the second half of next year. In addition, on the eve of the 2025 Munich Auto Show, Avita unveiled its new concept car, VISION XPECTRA, with a futuristic design language. The car measures 5,843 mm in length, 2,132 mm in width, and 1,405 mm in height, with a 3,450 mm wheelbase. It is expected to feature a 4-seat layout and could be launched in 2026.
In addition to expanding its domestic market, Avita has also entered markets in the ASEAN region and Middle East & North Africa since 2024, with launches in Thailand, UAE, and Qatar. According to plans, Avita aims to be present in 50 countries and regions by 2025.
