Official Images of Infiniti QX65 Released!

On August 16th, official images of the Infiniti QX65, a mid-to-large SUV under the Infiniti brand, were officially released. It is expected that the new model will make its debut next year.

From the official images, the new car exudes a strong overall presence. The front face features a large-sized grille design, with matte black vertical waterfall elements inside, and the Infiniti brand logo is inlaid in the center. A star-ring-shaped light strip is paired above the grille, and narrow-shaped headlight groups are equipped on both sides, resulting in a highly recognizable overall visual effect. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a through-type air intake at the bottom, further enhancing heat dissipation performance.

On the side of the body, the new car adopts a coupe SUV design. The smooth lines, paired with bright black multi-spoke wheels, create a good sense of sophistication. At the rear, the new car’s taillights adopt a through-type design, echoing the front face and adding a sense of hierarchy to the vehicle. The lower bumper features a uniquely shaped diffuser design, further enhancing the sportiness of the vehicle.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 272 horsepower and a peak torque of 387 Nm. For the transmission system, it is matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It is also understood that the new car will offer four-wheel drive versions according to different configurations.

Infiniti is a luxury brand under Nissan Motor, alongside Lexus under Toyota and Acura under Honda. In January 2022, Dongfeng Infiniti was officially integrated into the Dongfeng Nissan management system, becoming the third brand under Dongfeng Nissan. However, as a luxury car brand under Nissan, Infiniti has not had an easy time in China. Data shows that the cumulative sales of imported Infiniti vehicles in the first half of this year were only 125 units, a year-on-year decrease of 24%. Among them, sales in June were 13 units, a year-on-year decrease of 52%. For the sales decline, the industry generally attributes the reasons to Infiniti’s insufficient attention to investment in the Chinese market, failure to update outdated products, and slow introduction of new products. Industry insiders believe that if Infiniti cannot keep up with the changes in the domestic new energy vehicle market, it may also face elimination.

In May this year, the all-new Infiniti QX80 was launched, offering 2 models with prices of 1.198 million yuan and 1.368 million yuan respectively. The exterior design of the new car basically continues the style of the Infiniti QX Monograph concept car. In terms of dimensions, the new car has a length, width, and height of 5365/2030/1945mm, with a wheelbase of 3075mm, positioning it as a full-size SUV. In terms of power, it has abandoned the 5.6L V8 naturally aspirated engine used in the previous generation model, and instead is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 450 horsepower and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The transmission system is matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission. It remains to be seen whether the launch of more new models in the future can boost Infiniti’s sales
