Pre-sale Price Starting at RMB 288,000: All-New AITO M7 Now Open for Reservations

On September 5, Harmony Intelligent Mobility’s AITO brand officially opened pre-orders for the all-new AITO M7, with a pre-sale price starting at RMB 288,000. For reference, the current M7 equipped with an extended-range powertrain is priced between RMB 249,800 and RMB 329,800.

According to the company, pre-orders surged rapidly: within 10 minutes, more than 20,000 small deposits were placed, and within an hour, orders exceeded 100,000. The overwhelming demand even caused the mini-program to crash, sparking heated online discussion.

As a next-generation model, the new M7 adopts a refreshed exterior and interior design, featuring Huawei’s QianKun ADS 4 advanced driver assistance system and in-cabin LiDAR vision. It offers both extended-range and pure electric powertrains. Design highlights include the Kunpeng family design language with a minimalist closed front grille, sleek headlamps connected by a chrome strip, semi-concealed door handles, multi-spoke wheels, and six exterior colors with an optional black sport package. At the rear, new taillights, a slanted rear windshield, and refined silver accents enhance its premium appeal.

The SUV has grown in size, measuring 5,080/1,999/1,780 mm with a 3,030 mm wheelbase—larger in every dimension compared with the outgoing model. Inside, the cabin embraces a minimalist style with light brown materials. Upgrades include a larger 16.1-inch 3K center display, a 10.25-inch passenger screen, a three-spoke steering wheel, column-mounted shifter, and a revised console layout. The model comes in 5-seat (2+3) and 6-seat (2+2+2) layouts, with the six-seat variant featuring independent second-row chairs.

Powertrain options include single- and dual-motor configurations for both extended-range and pure electric versions. The extended-range model uses a 1.5T generator (118 kW) with motor outputs up to 227 kW for two-wheel drive and 165/227 kW front/rear for four-wheel drive. The pure electric variant offers similar motor setups.

First launched in July 2022, the M7 is AITO’s second model, jointly developed by Seres and Huawei. In May 2024, the M7 Ultra introduced advanced 192-line LiDAR and upgraded interiors. The M7 has been a strong performer, with 193,300 units sold in 2024, making it the brand’s best-selling model. However, in the first seven months of 2025, its 38,000-unit sales trailed behind the M9 (72,500) and M8 (56,700).

With its larger dimensions, upgraded tech, and the addition of a pure EV variant, the all-new M7 significantly expands consumer choice and is expected to compete directly with rivals such as the Li Auto L6, Avatr 11 (EREV), and Xpeng G9. The official launch is scheduled for September 23.
