In the latest new car filing catalog published on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s official website, Automotive Industry Focus found that the new model “Starry Shine 7” from Geely Galaxy has appeared in the filing directory. As a new plug-in hybrid sedan in the Geely Galaxy series, the car’s appearance adopts a similar design style to the Starry Shine 6, but with a more impressive and powerful overall look.

Specifically, the car uses the “Ripple Aesthetics” design language from Geely Galaxy. The front features a trapezoidal grille design, embellished with a chrome strip in a vertical waterfall style. The narrow, long headlamps on both sides provide high recognition when lit. The front bumper adopts a three-section air intake design, with exaggerated air intakes on both sides, giving the car an aggressive visual effect. On the side, the car has smooth lines, with a waistline that extends from the front headlights to the rear tail lights, making the vehicle look elegant, long, and stable. At the rear, the car features a continuous tail light design paired with a rear bumper with a chrome strip running across, creating a sense of visual layering and refinement.
In terms of size, the car measures 4958/1915/1505 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2852 mm. In comparison, the Starry Shine 6 measures 4806/1886/1490 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2756 mm. As a result, the new model is larger overall. For power, the car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5L engine from Aurora Bay Technology Co., Ltd., with a maximum engine power of 82 kW.
Since its establishment in February 2023, Geely Galaxy has rapidly launched several highly anticipated models through technological innovation, and the speed of product releases has been impressive. As of now, Geely Galaxy has launched models including the E5, E8, L6, L7, Geely Xingyuan, Xingjian 7 EM-i, Galaxy Xingyao 8, Galaxy A7, Galaxy M9, and more, covering various market segments. In addition to these models, the Geely Galaxy Starry Shine 6 will be launched this month. The car began pre-sales on September 26, with five versions available. The pre-sale price ranges from 85,800 to 118,800 yuan, with limited-time prices between 79,800 and 112,800 yuan. It is equipped with the new generation Thunder God AI hybrid 2.0 technology, with a maximum motor power of 120 kW. Officially, the car claims to have a CLTC fuel consumption of 2.8L/100km when the battery is depleted. Depending on the version, the pure electric range is either 60 km or 125 km.
It is also worth mentioning that the methanol plug-in hybrid version of the Galaxy Starry Shine 6 has appeared in this new car filing directory. As a new powertrain version, the car’s overall design remains consistent with the Starry Shine 6, but the main change is the removal of the vertical waterfall chrome strip in the front grille, replaced by a horizontal chrome strip layout. The rear of the car also adds a diffuser and chrome trim, giving it a more sporty feel. For power, the car is equipped with a 1.5L engine from Aurora Bay Technology Co., Ltd., part of a methanol plug-in hybrid system with a maximum engine power of 93 kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery.
As more new vehicles are launched, the Geely Galaxy product lineup will become more complete, helping Geely Galaxy aim for its target of 1 million units in annual sales. According to the latest official data, from January to September this year, Geely Auto (including Geely, Galaxy, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co) sold a total of 2.17 million units, a 46% year-on-year increase.
