Data shows that Haval Long is a compact SUV under the Haval brand. It started pre-sales at the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show and was officially launched in October of the same year. At that time, a total of 3 models were launched, with a price range of 165,800 – 183,800 yuan. On May 27 this year, the fuel version of Haval Long was launched, with an official guide price of 156,900 – 166,900 yuan, and the price after superimposing discounts is 136,900 – 146,900 yuan. It is worth mentioning that previously, Haval Long was mainly an plug-in hybrid SUV, and there were fuel version models on sale. The fuel version launched this year can be said to make up for the gap in the fuel version. Regarding why Long launched a fuel version model, Zhao Yongpo, General Manager of Great Wall Motor’s Haval brand, once responded on his personal Weibo: “It’s because users need it! There are still some users who like Long very much, but are not particularly fond of PHEV models. Even if only some users need it, we should pay attention to it.”

The official launch of the 2026 Haval Menglong PHEV, coupled with the previous launch of the fuel version of Menglong, will undoubtedly cover a wider range of user groups, which is also conducive to enhancing the product competitiveness of the entire Menglong model series. Relevant data shows that the latest sales volume of Haval Menglong in July was 3,077 units, and the sales volume of Haval Menglong New Energy was 4,979 units.
