On October 5th, 2025, a fire occurred in an Avita 06 vehicle in a parking lot in Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province. The Avita team promptly arrived at the scene to assist the customer and supported the relevant authorities in dealing with the fire. They also provided complete vehicle data and collaborated with the fire department for fire investigation.

According to the latest feedback from local authorities, the fire began at the front passenger seat. At the time of the fire, the battery pack’s voltage, temperature, and pressure were all normal, ruling out issues with the power battery, drive motor, or high-voltage electrical control as the cause of the fire. Authorities are continuing to investigate other possible causes.
Earlier reports indicated that on October 5th, a video of an Avita 06 suddenly catching fire in Sansha Town, Xiapu County, went viral online. The video showed the fire quickly spreading to surrounding vehicles. Due to the fierce flames, seven other cars, including brands such as Audi, BMW, and Mazda, were damaged to varying degrees. According to the Xiapu County Fire and Rescue Brigade’s official report, the fire was reported at 13:54 on October 5th, and fire rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. The fire was extinguished by 15:35. Several vehicles were destroyed, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
A woman, who appears to be the vehicle’s owner, posted a response on social media, stating that the Avita 06 was delivered to her on August 28th of this year and had been used for only a month and a half, covering 1,066 kilometers. The Avita 06, a model recently launched by Avita, was released on April 19th of this year, with a price range of 209,900 to 279,900 yuan.
The Avita 06 is a mid-sized car that offers both pure electric and extended range options. The pure electric version uses a full 800V high-voltage platform, with the single-motor version delivering a maximum power of 252 kW and the dual-motor version having front and rear motor powers of 188/252 kW. The CLTC electric range is 650 km and 600 km, respectively. The extended range version comes with a 1.5T engine, with a maximum power of 115 kW, and a drive motor with a maximum power of 231 kW. The pure electric range is 170 km and 240 km, respectively. It competes mainly with models such as the Tesla Model 3 and Xiaomi SU7 in the market. According to retail data, since its release, the Avita 06 has sold a cumulative total of 24,150 vehicles, with August recording the highest sales of 4,097 units.
