Xiaomi Recalls Over 110,000 SU7 Standard Edition Electric Vehicles

Xiaomi Auto, a subsidiary of Xiaomi Group, is recalling more than 110,000 SU7 Standard Edition electric vehicles.

According to an announcement by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the SAMR in accordance with the Regulations on the Administration of Recall of Defective Automobile Products and its Implementation Measures. Starting immediately, the company will recall approximately 116,900 SU7 Standard Edition EVs produced between February 6, 2024, and August 30, 2025.

The SAMR stated that under certain conditions with the L2 highway navigation assistance system activated, some vehicles may have insufficient recognition, warning, or handling in extremely special scenarios. If the driver does not intervene in time, this could increase the risk of collision and pose a safety hazard. Xiaomi Auto will use Over-the-Air (OTA) remote upgrade technology to provide free software updates for the recalled vehicles to eliminate the safety risk.
