Starting from around $15,000! The new Alpha T5 is launched

On the evening of October 28, Arcfox, a sub-brand under BAIC BluePark, officially launched its new Alpha T5. The vehicle comes in six variants, offering both range-extended and pure electric versions, with prices ranging from ¥109,800 to ¥154,800 RMB (approximately $15,100 to $21,300 USD). Specifically, the range-extended models are priced between ¥109,800–¥127,800 RMB ($15,100–$17,600 USD), while the pure electric versions are priced from ¥119,800–¥154,800 RMB ($16,500–$21,300 USD).

Exterior Design
Both the range-extended and pure electric versions share nearly identical designs. The front fascia features a new closed grille, giving the car a younger, sportier appearance. The split headlight design incorporates “T”-shaped LED daytime running lights, while raised lines on the hood enhance the muscular and dynamic feel. The front bumper and air intake sections have been redesigned for a more athletic aesthetic.

On the side, the body’s smooth lines and slightly rising waistline create a sense of motion. It includes hidden door handles and 18-inch aerodynamic wheels. Two new body colors are available: Varna Blue and Lava Gray.
The new Alpha T5 measures 4760×1936×1650 mm, with a wheelbase of 2845 mm, classifying it as a mid-size SUV. Compared with the previous model, the car is 70 mm longer, while other dimensions remain unchanged. At the rear, the car retains a smoked-through taillight design with high recognition and a dual-layer diffuser for a sportier look.

Interior & Features
Inside, the new Alpha T5 is equipped with a 15.6-inch central display and a 22.8-inch head-up display (HUD), supporting CarPlay and HiCar smartphone connectivity.
It features a column-mounted gear selector, electric sunshade, and seat ventilation/heating/memory functions as standard across all trims.
For driver assistance, it includes L2-level ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), while higher trims use the Qualcomm 8775 cockpit chip, supporting urban and highway NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) functions.

Powertrain
The range-extended version is powered by a 1.5L range extender system with an electric motor output of 200 kW and 360 N·m torque, paired with a 27.4 kWh LFP battery providing a CLTC pure electric range of 215 km.
The pure electric version uses a single-motor system with 185 kW or 200 kW options and battery packs of 64.8, 74.4, or 79.2 kWh, offering CLTC ranges of 560 km, 660 km, and 705 km, respectively.

Market Position & Competitors
As a facelifted model, the new Alpha T5 mainly refines its design and introduces a range-extended variant. Given its pricing and features, it will compete with models like the Leapmotor C10 EREV and Changan Mazda EZ-60 EREV.

Arcfox, under BAIC BluePark, currently sells models such as Alpha S6, Alpha S5, Alpha T6, Alpha T5, Kaola S, Kaola, and Arcfox T1.
