On April 2, it was reported that Tesla just released its production and sales data for the first quarter of 2024: a total of 386,810 vehicles were delivered, of which Model 3/Y accounted for the vast majority, and Model S, Model X, and Cybertruck probably only had 17,027 vehicles.
In the first quarter of this year, Tesla deployed 4053MWh of energy storage products, which is Tesla’s highest quarterly deployment so far. Tesla will announce the details of the first quarter of 2024 financial report after the market closes on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Due to the lower-than-expected delivery volume in this quarter, Tesla’s stock price opened down about 6.29%, and the current market value is $516.396 billion.
It is worth mentioning that Tesla did not release quarterly vehicle sales by region this time. The company currently produces Model S, X, 3, and Y at the Fremont Super Factory and Model 3 and Y at the Shanghai Super Factory; it also produces Model Y at the Austin and Berlin factories.
Looking back at the fourth quarter of 2023, Tesla delivered a total of 484,507 vehicles, of which Model 3/Y reached 461,538 vehicles, and the other 22,969 vehicles were slightly lower than expected.
From the perspective of production, in the fourth quarter of 2023, the total production of all Tesla models was 494,989 vehicles, of which the production of Model 3/Y was 476,777 vehicles, while the production of other models was 18,212 vehicles.
For the whole of 2023, Tesla delivered a total of 1,808,581 vehicles and produced a total of 1,845,985 vehicles, of which Model 3/Y had the highest proportion.
In 2023, Tesla delivered 1,739,707 Model 3/Y vehicles and 68,874 “other models”, mainly including Model S and Model X, and possibly a small number of Cybertruck pickups.
