Following this, Leap Motor’s Senior Vice President, , shared the post on his personal Weibo and replied, stating that there are many details in the prediction image that differ from the actual vehicle, and the real car will be even more advanced. He also revealed that the new model is Leap Motor’s first flagship product aimed at the 300,000 RMB price range, positioned as a full-size SUV, and will feature the most advanced technology in Leap Motor and the industry. He emphasized that the new vehicle will not be the “half-price Li Auto” as some have speculated. Aside from these points, he did not reveal further details, keeping the suspense about the product. The vehicle is currently in the summer testing phase, but as of the time of reporting, there is still limited information available.

In June this year, Leap Motor founder Zhu Jiangming revealed that the flagship D-series will enter mass production in the first quarter of 2026, and will debut with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon dual 8797 platform. From the design images released by the blogger, the overall outline of the new vehicle is clear. The exterior adopts a boxy design with a split headlamp arrangement at the front. The daytime running lights may continue Leap Motor’s signature three-segment design, separating the headlamp area from the lower grille. The side and rear of the car maintain a minimalist style, with chrome decorations to enhance the visual refinement of the vehicle.

On the same day, Leap Motor’s Senior Vice President also introduced the product series of Leap Motor vehicles. Regarding the product series A, B, C, and D, and whether there is a specific order in the sequence, the Senior Vice
President stated that A, B, C, and D all share the same platform, and the release rhythm is based on market and user demands. He explained that the reason for launching the B product at this stage is that at the 100,000 to 150,000 RMB price range, new energy vehicles can now match the price of gasoline vehicles, and the upcoming D-series is for the upgraded consumer market, which will continue to grow. He explained, “From the T03 filling the gap in the new energy commuter market, to the C11 leading intelligent advancement, to the B series offering high value for money, we have always followed market trends to meet user needs at different stages.” It is worth noting that Zhu Jiangming had previously stated, “We will launch the C, then the B, followed by the D and A.”

As of now, Leap Motor’s available models include the Leap Motor C11, Leap Motor T03, Leap Motor C16, Leap Motor C10, Leap Motor C01, Leap Motor B10, and Leap Motor B01. Among them, the Leap Motor B01 was launched on July 24, offering six variants with a price range of 89,800 to 119,800 RMB. This model is the first pure electric sedan under the Leap Motor B platform and the second model under the B platform, built on the LEAP 3.5 electronic and electrical architecture. Its main competitors include the Xpeng MONA M03 and BYD Qin PLUS EV.

The latest sales data shows that Leap Motor delivered a total of 221,700 vehicles in the first half of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 155.68%, making it the top-selling new energy vehicle company. The top three models in terms of sales were the Leap Motor C10, C11, and C16, with cumulative retail sales of 55,500, 43,100, and 31,200 units, respectively. According to Leap Motor’s product plan, the company will also launch the Leap Motor B05 model in the second half of this year, with its global debut scheduled for the Munich Auto Show in September.
