The sales figures for September have been released! Multiple brands set new historical records

On September 1st, domestic electric vehicle brands successively released their delivery data for September 2025. From the delivery figures, mainstream electric vehicle brands have once again delivered relatively good results, maintaining a growth trend overall. According to the statistics, brands like Leap Motor, Xpeng Motors, Xiaomi Motors, and NIO have all set new historical highs. Leap Motor delivered 66,657 vehicles in the month, Xpeng Motors delivered 41,581 vehicles, and Xiaomi Motors delivered over 40,000 vehicles for the first time.



In September 2025, Leap Motor delivered 66,657 vehicles in a single month, an increase of 9,591 vehicles compared to August, marking a 97% year-on-year growth, setting a new historical record. Leap Motor became the first new energy brand to break 60,000 monthly sales, securing the top spot among new energy brands. According to the official announcement, the Leap Motor D19 will make its global debut on October 16, 2025. The new car is based on the Leap Motor D platform, positioning itself as a full-size SUV, with an expected price range of 250,000 to 300,000 yuan. Additionally, the Leap Motor Lafa5 was unveiled at the 2025 Munich Auto Show and will be launched at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show. This new car is built on the LEAP 3.5 platform, positioning itself as a compact hatchback, and is powered by pure electric power.

In September, Xpeng Motors’ delivery volume exceeded 40,000 vehicles for the first time, reaching 41,581 units, a 95% year-on-year growth. On September 15, Xpeng Motors officially announced a significant plan for local production in Europe, partnering with the Magna factory in Graz, Austria, to enhance the local production of electric vehicles in Europe. The first batches of Xpeng G6 and Xpeng G9 were successfully mass-produced. In the future, more Xpeng models will be produced at this factory.

Li Auto delivered 33,951 vehicles in September, with a total of 93,211 vehicles delivered in the third quarter. On September 26, the Li Auto i6 was officially launched. The Li Auto i6 is the company’s second all-electric SUV, priced at 249,800 yuan. Li Auto also broke its tradition of not using celebrity endorsements by inviting Yi Yang Qianxi to become the brand ambassador, aiming to appeal to a younger consumer group. This move quickly increased the market popularity of the Li Auto i6. After its launch, pre-orders for the Li Auto i6 exceeded 10,000 units within 5 minutes and surpassed 20,000 units within 4 hours. According to Li Auto’s order process, users can modify configurations or request a refund within 7 days after placing a pre-order. After 7 days, the deposit becomes non-refundable.

NIO announced a delivery of 34,749 vehicles in September, setting a new single-month record with a 64.1% year-on-year increase. Of this, NIO brand delivered 13,728 vehicles, Leado brand delivered 15,246 vehicles, and Firefly brand delivered 5,775 vehicles. On the evening of September 20, the new generation of NIO ES8 was officially launched, priced between 406,800 and 446,800 yuan, with a battery rental option pricing between 298,800 and 338,800 yuan.

In September, Xiaomi Motors’ total deliveries exceeded 40,000 vehicles, setting a new historical record for the brand. In terms of annual progress, Xiaomi Motors has raised its delivery target for 2025 from 300,000 to 350,000 vehicles. As of September, over 265,000 vehicles have been delivered, and based on the growth trend seen in July, August, and September, the annual target is expected to be reached ahead of schedule if the current production capacity is maintained. In terms of model delivery structure, the SU7 series remains the main contributor, but the YU7’s sales have started to surpass those of the SU7. According to official reports, as of September 30, Xiaomi Motors’ offline stores have exceeded 400, covering 119 cities, with 32 new stores opening in September.

Lantu Motors delivered 15,224 vehicles in September, marking a 52% year-on-year increase and setting a new historical record. On September 26, pre-orders officially opened for the Lantu Zhuangguang L and Taishan models, with a 2,000 yuan discount on the final vehicle price. The Lantu Taishan will officially launch in the fourth quarter, equipped with Huawei’s four-laser radar intelligent driving system, HUAWEI ADS 4+ HarmonyOS cabin, and a 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain. Additionally, the company has officially changed its name to “Lantu Automotive Technology Co., Ltd.” and completed the restructuring into a joint-stock company, with its Hong Kong listing process progressing steadily.

Zhiji Motors reached over 10,000 sales in September, with a total of 11,107 vehicles delivered. On September 10, the next-generation Zhiji LS6 was officially launched. The new car offers four versions, with both pure electric and extended-range options, priced between 197,900 and 269,900
