The all-new Geely Galaxy A7, under the Geely Galaxy brand, has officially launched. The new model comes in seven variants, with an official guide price of approximately $12,303 – $17,235 USD, and a limited-time trade-in price of about $11,207 – $16,139 USD.
The Geely Galaxy A7 is the first plug-in hybrid sedan built on the GEA new energy architecture. Positioned as a mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan, it is slightly smaller than the Geely Galaxy Star 8 EM-i. It comes equipped with the new Galaxy Flyme Auto smart cockpit system and is the first to adopt the Thor AI Hybrid 2.0 system. Its fuel consumption when the battery is depleted is as low as 2.5L/100km, with a combined range exceeding 2,100 km.

Exterior
At the front, the car adopts the Galaxy family design style, featuring a closed grille paired with a star-ring through-type light strip connected to slim headlights, creating a highly recognizable “star-ring” look that visually widens the front face. The lower bumper uses a black trapezoidal air intake with active grille shutters, adding both sportiness and technological appeal.
From the side, the car has an elongated fastback silhouette with a dual-waistline design. The straight upper waistline runs from the front fender to the taillights, while the lower waistline sweeps upward. It uses conventional door handles, multi-spoke wheels, and glossy black trim around the windows, resulting in a strong visual impact. The car offers six body color options: Ocean Blue, Obsidian Black, Snow White, Frost Silver, Misty Gray, and Sky Gray.
At the rear, the car features straight lines with through-type taillights that echo the front design. A chrome strip runs across the taillights, with multiple LED strips inside, providing high recognizability when lit. The rear bumper also carries chrome trim, combined with a small spoiler, giving the back a clean yet powerful look.
Dimensions
The Galaxy A7 measures 4918/1905/1495mm, with a wheelbase of 2845mm, placing it between the Galaxy L6 and Galaxy Star 8. (For reference: Galaxy L6 is 4782/1875/1489mm, wheelbase 2752mm; Galaxy Star 8 is 5018/1918/1480mm, wheelbase 2928mm.)
Interior
Inside, the A7 adopts a fresh design style and offers three interior color options: Snow White, Autumn Brown, and Misty Gray. It uses soft-touch materials, leather, wood trims, and chrome details to enhance premium feel. The cabin features a 15.4-inch floating center touchscreen, a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, and physical knobs on the central island for essential functions, aligning with user preferences. It also has a column-mounted shifter, wireless phone charging pad, covered storage compartments, and a multifunction control panel with physical buttons. The air vents adopt a through-type design for a modern look. The car runs on the Galaxy NOS system, deeply customized from Meizu Flyme Auto, and comes with the Qianli Haohan H3 intelligent driving assistance system, supporting highway NOA navigation assist and APA automatic parking.
Powertrain
The A7 is powered by the Thor AI Hybrid 2.0 system, combining a 1.5L engine with an electric motor for a maximum power output of 82 kW. It offers three lithium iron phosphate battery options: 18.4 kWh, 18.99 kWh, and 8.5 kWh, with pure electric ranges of 150 km and 70 km (as certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology).
Market Position
Geely Galaxy is Geely Auto’s mid-to-high-end new energy lineup, launched in February 2023, and has expanded rapidly. It now integrates the Galaxy, Lynk & Co’s Yizhen, and Geometry brands, with models including the E5, E8, L6, L7, Xingyuan, Yizhen L380, and Star 8. According to Geely, cumulative Galaxy sales reached 548,408 units in the first half of 2025, up 232% year-on-year.
As a brand-new model, the Galaxy A7 will further fill product gaps in the lineup. Based on its positioning and pricing, it will compete with models like BYD Qin L, BYD Seal 06, and Lynk & Co 07 EM-P. The mid-size sedan segment is highly competitive, but with its 2845mm wheelbase, Thor AI Hybrid 2.0, and Galaxy Flyme Auto smart cockpit, the A7 offers strong advantages in space, efficiency, and intelligence—making it an attractive family car. Its market performance is worth watching.
Beyond the A7, the Galaxy brand plans to launch the Galaxy M9 later this year, a flagship large SUV with a six-seat layout, which will further boost Galaxy’s sales growth.
