On July 12, Voyah officially launched its new model, the Voyah FREE+. The new car is available in three variants, with prices ranging from RMB 219,900 to 279,900 (≈ USD 30,800 – 39,200). By comparison, the current Voyah FREE is priced between RMB 228,900 and 266,900 (≈ USD 32,100 – 37,400).

Upgrades and Features
As a facelift model, the new FREE+ features a redesigned exterior and interior, and is equipped with Huawei’s QianKun ADS 4 advanced driving assistance system and HarmonyOS 5 cockpit. All trims come standard with an in-car refrigerator and AR-HUD head-up display. The refreshed design is more refined, while the upgraded intelligent configurations enhance its technological appeal, better aligning with consumer expectations.

Exterior Design
The FREE+ adopts the “Urban Light and Shadow Aesthetics” design concept. The front fascia features a brand-new 3D illuminated “Urban Starry Sky” grille, replacing the previous vertical waterfall grille design. It is paired with a full-width light bar, with the illuminated Voyah logo embedded at the center, creating a flowing dynamic effect when lit. The bumper adopts a more mainstream style, removing sharp edges, while black honeycomb air ducts on both sides add visual depth.

On the side, the new model removes the black trim on the D-pillar, reorients the fender trim vertically, and is fitted with flush door handles, privacy glass for the rear, and a roof rack. Three 20-inch wheel options are available: Fluid Speed, Light Matrix, and Dynamic Thunder designs, enhancing its sporty character. Six body colors are offered: White, Black, Grey, Gold, Purple, and Green. Dimensions are 4,915/1,960/1,660 mm with a 2,960 mm wheelbase, positioning it as a mid-to-large SUV. At the rear, the taillights adopt a new full-width design. Both the rear-view mirrors and the rear logo are equipped with ADS blue indicators, while the lower bumper adopts a fresher, more modern style.

Interior Design
Inside, the FREE+ uses a “floating island” cabin layout, with three interior color schemes: Aurora Purple, Amber Brown, and Deep Sea Blue. Soft-touch materials are widely used, with suede-like trim on the dashboard and a 256-color ambient lighting system, enhancing the sense of luxury. The 15.6-inch 2K central floating display supports five-screen interconnection with the instrument cluster, rear screen, AR-HUD, and cooling box display. It runs the HarmonyOS 5 cockpit system and comes with a new flat-bottom three-spoke steering wheel and column-mounted shifter. The center armrest houses a refrigerator comparable in performance to a household fridge. The cabin adopts a spacious five-seat layout.

Powertrain
The FREE+ is powered by a range-extended hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and electric motors, available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum net output of 95 kW. The 2WD variant has a rear motor rated at 215 kW, while the 4WD version combines a 135 kW front motor with a 215 kW rear motor.

It is paired with a 43.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The 2WD model has a pure electric range of 225–235 km (NEDC), while the 4WD version offers 190–196 km.

Market Positioning and Reception
As a mid-to-large SUV, the Voyah FREE+ will compete with rivals such as the Li Auto L6 and the AITO M7. Whether the refreshed model can secure a strong position in the highly competitive Chinese new energy passenger vehicle market remains to be seen.

According to official data, the FREE+ secured 11,583 confirmed pre-orders within just 15 minutes of launch.
