On August 13th, the new Voyah Zhiyin under Voyah Automobile officially started pre-sales, with a starting pre-sale price of 220,000 yuan. For reference, the current price of the on-sale Voyah Zhiyin ranges from 196,900 yuan to 236,900 yuan.
It is understood that the Voyah Zhiyin is built based on the ESSA intelligent electric architecture and the full-domain 800V silicon carbide platform, positioned as a pure electric midsize SUV. It was launched in October 2024 and is a collaborative product between Voyah and Huawei. The pre-sale model this time can be regarded as a facelifted version of the Voyah Zhiyin. As a facelifted model, the new car has adjustments to its exterior and offers two versions: Kunpeng and Qiankun. The former is equipped with Voyah’s self-developed driving assistance system and Xiaoyao cockpit, while the latter is equipped with Huawei’s latest Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 4 and HarmonyOS cockpit HarmonySpace 5. According to the plan, the new car will be launched at the end of this month.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the “Star Accompanying Time” aesthetic design. The front face is replaced with a 46.75-inch “Flashing Galaxy Smart Light Curtain” that supports the smart light curtain system. The grille is matched with 264 vehicle-grade LED beads and more than 50,000 diamond patterns, presenting a three-dimensional starry sky visual effect when lit. It is equipped with split headlight groups on both sides, and the air vent on the hood is smoked, making the overall vision young, fashionable and layered.
On the side of the car body, the new car has little change. The smooth lines with multi-waistline design make the vehicle look very tough. The new car adopts frameless doors and hidden door handles, and the front doors also support electric suction function. Compared with the current model, the main changes of the new car are in the front fender and D-pillar positions. The shape of the black trim on the front fender is adjusted, and the D-pillar line of the vehicle is also different from that of the current model, making the whole car more atmospheric and stable. In terms of body colors, the new car offers 6 colors for consumers to choose from: Champagne Gold, Storm Pink, Huiyue Cyan, Chenxing Gray, Xuanying Black and Duruo White.
At the rear, the new car is equipped with a through-type LED light group and a two-stage spoiler, which has high recognition when lit at night. What has changed is that the new car simplifies the rear 包围 design and adopts a two-piece rear diffuser decorative panel, further enhancing the sporty atmosphere of the rear. The new car also adjusts the “VOYAH” logo from above the light strip to the bottom of the rear windshield, making the overall visual effect more concise without losing style. In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4810/1900/1636mm, with a wheelbase of 2925mm, positioning it as a midsize SUV. For comparison, the length, width and height of the current model are 4725/1900/1636mm, with a wheelbase of 2900mm. Compared with the current model, the length of the new car is increased by 85mm, the wheelbase is increased by 25mm, and other data remain unchanged.
In the interior, the new car is outlined with straight and simple lines, and the steering wheel inside the car is covered with two-color leather materials, creating a good visual texture. In terms of configuration, the new car’s center console adopts a new design style, equipped with a 15.6-inch floating multimedia touch screen, built-in HarmonyOS cockpit HarmonySpace 5 system, paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, supporting Super Desktop 2.0 and many other functions. The new car is also equipped with a floating 10.25-inch 2K full LCD instrument, AR-HUD head-up display system, and is replaced with a two-color designed three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel and a column-mounted shift mechanism, with a full sense of technology. In addition, the new car is equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 driving assistance system, with a 192-line lidar on the roof, and a total of 29 driving assistance sensors, which will provide a good assisted driving experience.
In terms of power, the new car adopts the full-domain 800V high-voltage silicon carbide platform, offering rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive models. The maximum power of the rear-wheel drive model is 230kW, and the maximum power of the front and rear motors of the four-wheel drive model is 175kW and 230kW respectively. In terms of batteries, the new car is equipped with a 79kWh battery pack, with a CLTC cruising range of 650 kilometers.
Overall, after the facelift and renovation, the new car has significantly improved in various product capabilities, and it is expected that its launch will further boost sales. Judging from the positioning and pre-sale price of the new car, it will continue to compete with models such as the Xpeng G6, LeDao L60 and the new Tesla Model Y after launch. Retail data shows that from January to July this year, the cumulative sales of Voyah Zhiyin were 7,545 units.
