Geely Automobile has officially announced that its sales have risen to 3 million units.

On the evening of July 1, Geely Auto announced that, in light of its strong sales performance in the first half of the year, the Group has raised its annual sales target by 11%—from 2.71 million units to 3 million units.

According to the company’s sales data, Geely sold a total of 1.40918 million vehicles in the first half of 2025, up 47% year-on-year from 955,730 units, achieving 47% of its new 3 million-unit goal. June sales reached 236,060 units, a 42% increase compared with 166,090 units a year earlier.

Geely Auto’s portfolio includes the Geely, Galaxy, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co brands. The newly independent Galaxy brand has emerged as a key growth driver, with first-half sales reaching 548,410 units, up 232% year-on-year. June alone saw 90,220 Galaxy units sold, up 202% year-on-year.

Galaxy, which carries Geely’s main mission for new energy transformation, was first introduced in February 2023 as a mid-to-high-end NEV series. Its rapid development led to an upgrade to a standalone brand in March 2025, absorbing Geometry and Livan. As of now, Galaxy offers seven models including the E5, E8, L6, L7, Geely Starwish, Livan L380, and Starshine 8. On June 13, the Galaxy A7 EM-i, a new mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan, was unveiled as the brand’s eighth model. The Galaxy M9, a six-seat large SUV, is also expected to launch within the year.

Meanwhile, Lynk & Co has begun electrification, though results remain modest. Zeekr and Lynk merged in February to strengthen synergies. In the first half of 2025, Lynk sold 154,140 units (up 22% YoY), with June sales at 26,310 (up 8%). Zeekr’s growth slowed significantly, with first-half sales up only 3% to 90,740 units, while June sales fell 17% to 16,700 units.

Combined, Zeekr and Lynk sold 244,900 units in the first half, achieving 34% of their joint annual target of 710,000 units. Zeekr Technology CEO An Conghui admitted that the integration process and systemic issues had impacted sales.

Geely’s shift to new energy vehicles (NEVs) has been a journey of exploration and restructuring. From the “Blue Geely” initiative to the “Taizhou Declaration,” the company has repeatedly adjusted its strategy. In 2021, Geely launched two “Blue Geely” action plans focusing on hybrid/plug-in hybrid models and pure EVs, alongside the debut of Zeekr and the SEA architecture. By 2024, Geely began consolidating its strategy, merging Geometry and Livan into Galaxy, and combining Zeekr with Lynk, forming a three-tier structure of “Geely–Galaxy–Zeekr/Lynk” under the principle of “One Geely.”

On January 5, 2025, Geely Holding announced its three-year strategic targets: by 2027, total vehicle sales to exceed 5 million units, to lead in electrification and smart transformation, and to build a differentiated competitive edge in green intelligent mobility.
